Chelsea’s research tends to center around social binaries (the gender binary, queer/straight binary, mind-body binaries). They are specifically invested in demonstrating why binaries are problematic and showcasing the beautiful ways that people subvert them. At the heart of this work is a deep investment in queer well-being and embodiment, specifically for trans and non-binary folk.
