C. McGhee holds a PhD in Psychology and Women’s & Gender Studies from the University of Michigan. Questions of how queer/trans people flourish and care for themselves within the face of sociopolitical constraint largely motivate their research. They have three, intertwining lines of work: 1) queer/trans wellness and community care; 2) trans/gender diverse joy, pleasure, and thriving; and 3) queer/trans identity development and embodiment. They explore each of these facets of queer/trans life through a combination of qualitative, quantitative, intervention-focused, and community-based approaches.
