Recently received their joint PhD in Social Work and Sociology from the University of Michigan, and is currently an assistant professor at the Wayne State University School of Social Work. Their research interests include social welfare policy, philanthropy, community organizations, and gender and sexuality. They currently working on several research projects related to transgender healthcare and insurance policy. Their doctoral studies were supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Health Policy Research Scholars program.
