Is a social worker living in Chicago, IL. He recently finished his dissertation which merges a gender minority stress framework, and a social ecological model of school violence to understand the experiences of transgender adolescents schooling experiences. Cary has worked in an LGBTQ community health clinic, has supported syringe exchange services, and was an HIV test counselor. He hopes to promote a society supportive of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people through social work practice, teaching and research.
