Matthew Bakko

Is pursuing a joint PhD in Social Work and Sociology. His research interests include social welfare policy, philanthropy, community organizations, and gender and sexuality. He is currently working on several research projects related to transgender healthcare and insurance policy. His doctoral studies are supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Health Policy Research Scholars program.
